Day 3
Happy Monday, everyone.
What a weekend of beginning.
That initial spark can give us the fuel we need to get going.
Then the reality of a Monday sets in :)
If you found it more challenging or just different this morning to understand how your practice fits in, awesome.
Those moments that carry a bit of resistance can be a natural invitation to check in.
HECK — Mondays are a natural invitation to check in.
(If only we can slow down long enough, if only we can pause for a moment, from the furiously fast unfolding of a daily life).
Mondays give us an opportunity, as we begin the week, to reset our attention and our intention, for that matter.
Yesterday afternoon I set a daily alarm in my phone called “because I believe” for 8:15am, which is my chosen “early morning.”
By 8:15am, we’ve all been up for an hour (or 3!). We’re in the family groove of the morning. Lou is eating breakfast. And I can step away for 15 minutes for myself.
The “because I believe” alarm comes from the invitation I made to all of us to set an intention for our 40 days together:
“I, _______________ , hereby commit to 40 days of showing up for myself, my work, and my life in my daily practice because I believe….”
Intentions, like practice, aren’t just one and done. We must keep coming back again and again.
So today, come back to your intention. Heck, set your own “because I believe” alarm if you’d like.
And last call for accountability buddy requests — I’ll start pairing you up today.

more to come, one day at a time,

Have more time today?
How about 30 minutes of movement to meet your body as you begin this week.
