Day 13

"What we practice we become."

I love this quote from Krista Tippet in her book Becoming Wise.

I also know it to be true through my own ... you guessed it ... daily practice :)

This Dissolve stuff is tough. Which is why solidifying these new skill sets through practice is KEY.

Two ways to figure out where your best lessons might be:

  1. Move toward what you’re naturally drawn to (if you “like” something, you’re more likely to do it again, right?)

  2. Stay curious about what you’re absolutely averse to (what we’re sure “is not for us” often is exactly what we need.)

So below you’ll find the two meditations from the last two days:

  1. Day 11’s “one-and-a-half-minute thing”

  2. Day 12’s “3 simple steps”

Choose one to practice again today. To begin to imprint this tool. To practice what you’re becoming. Use the decision-making strategy outlined above to pick —

Was there one you felt more drawn to? Maybe that’s your natural choice.

Was there one that made you REALLY uncomfortable? As long as you feel safe, I’d say there’s still work there for you to do.

LEAVE A COMMENT: Which one did you choose? And why? After two times practicing it, what do you notice?

more tomorrow & just enough for now,
Cath
