Day 37 (Wednesday 7.27.22)
The best part of about teaching is being a student myself.
And you have taught me more than I could ever hope to offer back.
Thank you for simply BEing here.
And thank you for modeling —
honesty and truth-telling in the most bold and vulnerable way;
lessons like how to reach out and ask for support, that “done is better than perfect,” and that we can notice patterns for a long time and come back again and again and things will just take the time they take;
that despite ever-shifting ground, in the midst of wild uncertainty and change, you are steadily and still holding hope and space for big dreams and big love for yourself and the world around you;
how to keep showing up, even when it’s hard, especially when it’s hard;
that it’s high time to start investing in BEing in our lives instead of simply DOing our lives;
grace and compassion for all my hiccups, tech guffaws, and the unfolding of this work so slowly and circuitously at times —
I could imagine no better, truer, more inspiring partners to walk this winding path with.Thank you.
In our final few days together, I’ll drip out details about what comes next, how we can integrate these 40 days, stay in touch in the meantime, and all. the. things. :)
And the practice too must go on — this week I circle back to one of the most beautiful practices I know: the Loving Kindness meditation.
This meditation as blessing — it’s my favorite note to end on.
And also an invitation to stick with some version of this loving-kindness meditation as your anchor point in the days beyond our 40 days here together. I’ll keep sharing ways and ideas about how to make it your own.
Till tomorrow,
Cath
