Before We Begin…
Good morning!
This time tomorrow, simply by opening your email, you will have already begun!
Simple as that ;)
To prepare today, I’ve got a practical, yet key consideration for you to consider, as we start our 40 days of meditation practice together:
“Where am I going to do this daily practice thing?”
Short answer is there are no rules.
You can practice in your bed. You can practice in the tub.
But I invite you to try something, especially if “seated meditation practice doesn’t work” for you:
Find one spot to sit these 40 days. It can be a chair. It can be the floor. (You can change it if it’s not working, yes.)
I find that if I set myself up with a clean, comfortable place, make it a bit beautiful and keep it that way, I’m much more likely to come back again and again and again.
If you can, set your space somewhere where you can’t not see it.
So the physical act of seeing it, even catching it in your periphery, can act as a prompt to sit and practice. Or at least to remember that you care about your practice. Which some days is all we can do!
Finding and preparing your spot is simple. But it’s not always easy.
And I never want you to think that it’s easy for me (More familiar after these years? Yes. Easy? Not quite!).

These first 10 days have preparation naturally built right in. I promise, we’ll get you there.
One more thing — if you know you do better with a LOT of accountability, like in human form, and you want a daily buddy, fill out this form. I know there are many of you who want to connect with each other in the group and feel that support. I’ll match you up with a daily buddy or small group ASAP
